SHISEIDO, THE BEST WAY TO SAY I LOVE YOU!

On Valentines Day, I received an amazing gift. That gift was not only beautiful roses but a special edition Chinese New Years box full of Shiseido skincare products as well.

A box full of Shiseido goodies is way better then a box full of chocolates!

Shiseido is a fascinating skincare company that has been around 147 years and counting. They were founded in Japan but the name was acquired from a passage in the classic Chinese cosmological text, the I Ching. It praised the virtues of the Earth. They seem to have combined Western, Chinese, and Japanese influence to create an amazing company with amazing products.

They are the oldest skincare company in the world. Arinobu Fukuhara, the founder of Shiseido opened the Shiseido Pharmacy in Tokyo in 1872 where he introduced Japan to their first western medicine inspired tooth paste. In 1897 Shiseido shifted from a pharmacy into a skincare company and introduced Japan to a luxurious softening lotion that hydrates the skin called Eudermine, available in a gorgeous ruby red bottle. Eudermine is still a best seller today.

As you can see they have a long history of being innovative, magical, and inspiring. As well as providing the world with great quality products.

Until now the only Shiseido product I owned and tried was their sunscreen, so I am very excited to try their many other products. I've always heard great things about their product performance and their beautiful packaging.
